What is spam?

Spam is unsolicited email also known as junk mail.  If email is sent in bulk (to more than a handful of recipients) to recipients who have not requested to receive it, it can and will be considered spam, regardless of the contents of the email.  By sending email only to those who have requested to receive it, Macrotone follows accepted permission-based email guidelines.

Macrotone Anti-Spam policy

All messages (or newsletters) sent to more than a handful of recipients will:

  • clearly and accurately identify Macrotone as the authorised sender of the message.

  • include accurate information about how the recipient can readily contract the company.

  • include a functional unsubscribe facility.

Macrotone will not:

  • Manipulate identifiers, such as email headers, to disguise the origin of any content transmitted from or through Macrotone's computer systems.

  • Relay email from or through a third party's mail servers without the permission of that third party.

  • Facilitate the transmission of unsolicited or unauthorized material such as promotional materials, URLs, "junk mail," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of unauthorized solicitation.

  • Use "robots" or other harvest other's email addresses for the purpose of sending unsolicited or unauthorized material.

  • Upload, post, email, or transmit the same message, URL, or post multiple times.
